Sawtell beach offers something for surfers of all ages and abilities. For the kids you have the protection behind Sawtell Island and for the Adults and more advanced surfers you have perfect long running waves that peel from the island towards the surf club.

Sawtell oozes charm! The main street is full of amazing cafes, restaurants and offers a relaxed beachside atmosphere for the whole family. Nearby Boambee and Bonville creeks are great locations to chill out and are very family friendly. Here you can have a relaxed swim or if you still have energy you can hire a stand up paddle board and enjoy the great eco systems that these creeks offer.

Sawtell is a small town with a population of close to 4,000 and around 15,000 if you include the close by towns of Boambee and Toormina so it has all of the facilities you’d need.  From banks, shops and post offices to holiday parks and luxury holiday houses on the beach, Sawtell is a very popular holiday destination so you may want to book your accommodation well in advance.

How to find us

Located 5-10 minutes South of Coffs Harbour. Those travelling North or South along the Pacific Highway take the Sawtell and continue into Sawtell. Those travelling from Coffs Harbour will drive into Sawtell via Hogbin Drive. From the south you will drive along Lyons Road until just before town where you turn right onto Boronia Street. From the North you drive along Sawtell Road and it turn’s into 1st Avenue. Drive through town and turn left onto Boronia Street. Follow Boronia Street to Boronia Park opposite Bonville Creek and before you drive onto Sawtell Headland. There is plenty of free parking and all lessons meet at the Sawtell Surf School Van 10 minutes before start time.
